Can I have a fire in my backyard?
Recreational fires are allowed with several conditions. Fires can only be 3 feet in diameter, are allowed from 8 a.m. to midnight for no longer than 6 hours, and must be 25 feet from any structure. Only clean wood or charcoal may be burned. Burning of trash, leaves or brush is not allowed.

Fires must be constantly attended by someone 18 or older, and extinguishing equipment must be readily available. Call the Fire Department at 763-767-6429 for more information.
