Street Reconstruction Project 19-1 – 4 miles of residential streets

The Contractor for this project is North Valley, Inc. The Contractor's main contact is Herb Thielbar, who can be reached at 763-274-2580 (office) or 612-716-4214 (cell). Work planned for the week of September 9 includes new curb installations on the north side of 131^st Avenue and adjacent neighborhood streets north of 131^st Avenue on both sides of Coon Creek. Grading for the new sidewalk to be located along the north side of 131^st Avenue is planned as well.

Irrigation repairs and boulevard restorations will take place on neighborhood streets south of 131^st Avenue.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-2 – 2.3 miles of MSA streets (Foley Boulevard from 115^th Avenue to 124^th Avenue, Wedgewood Drive from Main Street to Round Lake Boulevard, Olive Street from 121^st Avenue to Main Street)

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction. The Contractor's main contact is Dan Bodza, who can be reached at 612-248-7760 (cell). Rene Garcia (612-360-4707) with Park Construction is the Contractor point of contact for watermain pipe replacements. Work planned for the week of September 9 includes concrete curb and sidewalk replacements on Wedgewood Drive. Final valve and manhole elevation adjustments are scheduled for Olive Street, as well as new sign installations. Storm sewer catch basin replacements will take place along the east side of Foley Boulevard, as well as grading for the new trail. Construction of the new Sand Creek culverts under Foley Boulevard will continue all week.

To accommodate the Sand Creek culvert replacements, Foley Boulevard is closed at the Sand Creek crossing south of 118^th Avenue. A posted detour is currently in place from Northdale Boulevard to 121^st Avenue via University Avenue (local access will be maintained). The closure is expected to last until September 30, weather permitting.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-3 – 3.3 miles of residential streets

The Contractor for this project is Douglas-Kerr Underground, Inc. The Contractor's main contact is Ryan Kerr, who can be reached at 320-679-8937 (office) or 320-515-0046 (cell). Work during the week of September 9 includes boulevard restorations in the Phase 1B area (Bridgewater neighborhood consisting of Alder Street, Butternut Street, Cottonwood Street, 116th Avenue, 116th Lane, and 117th Avenue). Mailboxes will be reinstalled on streets within the Bridgewater neighborhood from 116^th Lane north to 117^th Avenue.

Boulevard restorations are planned for the west side (southbound direction) of Springbrook Drive, and topsoil will be placed in advance of turf restoration.

Grading and preparation for new curb installation is planned for Mississippi Boulevard (Hanson Boulevard to Ibis Street). New concrete curbs may be installed by the end of next week.

Asphalt paving is planned for Flora Street north of 109^th Lane (adjacent to the Coon Rapids Ice Center).

Grading for the new sidewalk along East River Road from south of 85^th Avenue to 84^th Lane is expected to take place beginning next Tuesday.

Port Riverwalk Development Project 19-12 – Grading, Erosion Control, and Turf Establishment

Work during the week of September 9 includes continued removals and mass grading for the new Port Riverwalk development.

Anoka County Project – Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Railroad Bridge Overpass

Hanson Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids (north of Coon Rapids Boulevard). The County’s Contractor for this project is C.S McCrossan. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-324-3114.
