Property owners within street reconstruction project areas 19-1 and 19-3 should have received notification letters with project and schedule information recently. A contract for project 19-2 was awarded to Park Construction on May 21, 2019; notifications with detailed information are currently being sent to property owners via US mail.

Pleasure Creek Culvert Extension at Coon Rapids Boulevard Project 18-18

Construction operations during the week of June 3 include final restoration and bank stabilization activities.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-1 – 4 miles of residential streets

The Contractor for this project is North Valley, Inc. The Contractor's main contact is Herb Thielbar, who can be reached at 763-274-2580 (office) or 612-716-4214 (cell). Work during the week of June 3 will continue to focus on the areas of 127^th Avenue and Crane Street. Work will include asphalt reclamation, completion of the new concrete sidewalk on 127^th Avenue, completion of remaining curb & gutter, and driveway restorations. Weather pending, the first lift of new asphalt pavement could be installed by the end of next week.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-2 – 2.3 miles of MSA streets (Foley Boulevard from 115^th Avenue to 124^th Avenue, Wedgewood Drive from Main Street to Round Lake Boulevard, Olive Street from 121^st Avenue to Main Street)

Residents will receive schedules, contact information, and a list of Frequently Asked Questions in the US mail next week. The neighborhood open house meeting for this project will be held Wednesday, June 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Woodview Park (11540 Olive Street).

Traffic control on Foley Boulevard is expected to be set up on Monday, June 3. Northbound and southbound traffic will be shifted to the east half of Foley Boulevard to allow work to take place on the west side. Pavement reclamation and miscellaneous removals will then begin on the west side of Foley Boulevard.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-3 – 3.3 miles of residential streets

The Contractor for this project is Douglas-Kerr Underground, Inc. The Contractor's main contact is Ryan Kerr, who can be reached at 320-679-8937 (office) or 320-515-0046 (cell). Work during the week of June 3 includes utility replacements (valves, hydrants, and storm sewer catch basins) within the Phase 1A area (Flintwood Street, Goldenrod Street, 114^th Avenue, 116^th Avenue, Evergreen Street, Evergreen Circle, and 117^th Avenue). In addition, concrete curb and driveway saw cutting is anticipated.

Trail Reconstruction Project 19-11 – Wedgewood Trail, Nelson Park Trails, and Trackside Park Trails

The Contractor for this project is Northwest Asphalt. The Contractor's main contact is John Hamers, who can be reached at 952-445-1003 (office) or 952-292-8471 (cell). Construction during the week of June 3 includes asphalt pavement reclamation on the Wedgewood Trail. Restoration work will take place in Trackside and Nelson Parks.

Anoka County Project – Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Railroad Bridge Overpass

Hanson Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids (north of Coon Rapids Boulevard). The County’s Contractor for this project is C.S McCrossan. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-324-3114.
