Street Reconstruction Project 18-1 – 4.7 miles of residential streets on the east and west sides of Foley Boulevard, from near Highway 10 to south of Northdale Boulevard

During the week of October 1, the Contractor will continue final grading operations on 103^rd and 104^th Avenues in advance of asphalt paving. New street sign installations and miscellaneous cleanup will continue to take place throughout all segments of the project next week. Weather pending, boulevard topsoil restorations on 103^rd and 104^th Avenues may also take place next week. 

Street Reconstruction Project 18-2 – 4 miles of residential streets south of Coon Rapids Boulevard near Round Lake Boulevard and streets between Northdale Boulevard and Crooked Lake Boulevard   

The Contractor for this project is Northwest Asphalt, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are John Lenarz at 952-220-0684 and John Hamers at 952-292-8470. Zach Pfieffer is the City’s full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Zach can be reached at 612-710-8243 (cell).

This project is substantially complete. The Contractor will complete remaining punch list and miscellaneous cleanup work over the next few weeks. If property owners identify any remaining issues, please contact the project inspector. 

Egret Boulevard Watermain Reconstruction Project 18-7 – Watermain replacement along Egret Boulevard from Coon Rapids Boulevard Service Road to 99^th Avenue   

The Contractor for this project is Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Rene Perkins at 612-363-6459 and John Acman at 320-224-0048. Ron Sample is the City’s full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Ron can be reached at 763-257-3874 (cell).

Remaining surface restorations and cleanup work will continue next week. If property owners identify any remaining issues or have any concerns, please contact the project inspector.

Sidewalk Expansion Improvement Project 17-19 – Construction of miscellaneous sidewalk segments along Coon Rapids Boulevard, Dogwood Street, and 115^th Avenue   

The Contractor for this project is Ti-Zack Concrete, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Jim Leary at 612-309-4260 and Cory Johnson-Roe at 507-262-0913. Work will continue during the week of October 1 on completion of the remaining sidewalk gap to be filled under this project (located at 2669 Coon Rapids Boulevard). Weather pending, concrete will be poured on this last sidewalk segment next week. 

Miscellaneous Park and Trail Improvement Project 18-6 – Reconstruction of segments of Prairie Oaks Park, Burl Oaks Park, and Vineyards Park trails

Riverwalk Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project 17-28 – Lining of 42-inch diameter City sewer pipe and associated manhole structures within the Riverwalk redevelopment area 

The Contractor for this project is Lametti & Sons, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Jeffrey VanHoven at 651-248-3344 and David Lovas at 651-208-6517. Mike Ostendorf is the City’s Consultant designer, and can be contacted at 651-280-0679 to respond to any specific questions or concerns.

During the week of October 1, the Contractor will continue the manhole lining process, and complete the installation of a new 42” segment of sewer pipe required near the existing Met Council lift station adjacent to Coon Rapids Boulevard Extension (the latter is work carried over from the week of September 24).

To accommodate necessary work on this project, Coon Rapids Boulevard Extension in the area of Vale Street is closed to traffic. This road is expected to be closed for two (2) more weeks. 

Anoka County Project – Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Railroad Bridge Overpass  

Hanson Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids (north of Coon Rapids Boulevard). The County’s Contractor for this project is C.S McCrossan. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-862-4250.

Watermain connection work necessary to re-route watermain pipes to accommodate the new overpass will continue next week in the areas of Osage Street/108^th Lane, Killdeer Street/107^th Avenue, and Hummingbird Street/107^th Avenue. Residents in these areas will be notified in advance of any scheduled water shutoffs.
