Street Reconstruction Project 18-1 – 4.7 miles of residential streets on the east and west sides of Foley Boulevard, from near Highway 10 to south of Northdale Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is North Valley, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Herb Thielbar at 612-716-4214 and Jeff Wunderlich at 612-282-5039. During the week of September 4, the Contractor plans to conduct storm sewer pipe replacement on 103rd Avenue (west of Dogwood Street). Potential plans may also include the installation of new curb and gutter on 104th Avenue (west of Dogwood Street). Asphalt pavement reclamation is scheduled to take place on remaining streets within Area 4 (north of Egret Boulevard and east of Foley Boulevard) that have not yet been reclaimed. 

Street Reconstruction Project 18-2 – 4 miles of residential streets south of Coon Rapids Boulevard near Round Lake Boulevard and streets between Northdale Boulevard and Crooked Lake Boulevard   

The Contractor for this project is Northwest Asphalt, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are John Lenarz at 952-220-0684 and John Hamers at 952-292-8470. During the week of September 4, the Contractor plans to work on irrigation and boulevard restorations on streets within Area 3 (Pheasant Ridge Drive, 114th Lane, 115th Avenue, Silverod Street, Undercliff Street, and Coon Rapids Boulevard Service Road). 

Egret Boulevard Watermain Reconstruction Project 18-7 – Watermain replacement along Egret Boulevard from Coon Rapids Boulevard Service Road to 99th Avenue   

The Contractor for this project is Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Rene Perkins at 612-363-6459 and John Acman at 320-224-0048. As work was progressing toward completion on this project during the week of July 23, there was a delay with the northernmost pipe connection on Egret Boulevard near the City well station. To resolve this connection delay, it was determined that additional custom parts which must be fabricated and shipped to the job site are required. Based on production and delivery schedule of the parts, remaining watermain connection work and surface restorations are expected to be completed before September 14. 

Sidewalk Expansion Improvement Project 17-19 – Construction of miscellaneous sidewalk segments along Coon Rapids Boulevard, Dogwood Street, and 115th Avenue   

The Contractor for this project is Ti-Zack Concrete, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Jim Leary at 612-309-4260 and Cory Johnson-Roe at 507-262-0913. Next week, the Contractor plans to complete installation of new concrete for sidewalk segments along Coon Rapids Boulevard, which includes areas at 3237 Coon Rapids Boulevard (WCCO Radio Tower), 2605/2601 Coon Rapids Boulevard, 2121 Coon Rapids Boulevard (Neil’s Auto Body), 2061 Coon Rapids Boulevard, and 298 Coon Rapids Boulevard south of 93rd Avenue. 

Miscellaneous Park and Trail Improvement Project 18-6 – Reconstruction of segments of Prairie Oaks Park, Burl Oaks Park, and Vineyards Park trails 

The Contractor for this project is North Valley, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Herb Thielbar at 612-716-4214. During the week of September 4, the Contractor plans to complete restoration activities along the Prairie Oaks and Vineyards Park trail segments.  

Riverwalk Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project 17-28 – Lining of 42-inch diameter City sewer pipe and associated manhole structures within the Riverwalk re-development area 

The Contractor for this project is Lametti & Sons, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Jeffrey VanHoven at 651-248-3344 and David Lovas at 651-208-6517. Mike Ostendorf is the City’s Consultant designer, and can be contacted at 651-280-0679 to respond to any specific questions or concerns.

During the week of September 4, the Contractor will continue with set up operations necessary for the temporary bypass network to re-route sewer flows for the planned 42-inch sewer pipe lining. 

Anoka County Project – Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Railroad Bridge Overpass  

Hanson Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids (north of Coon Rapids Boulevard). The County’s Contractor for this project is C.S McCrossan. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-862-4250.

A new watermain connection will be installed as part of the project, and work is anticipated to begin next week. The new pipe will provide continued water service to a residential neighborhood east of Hanson Boulevard during the grade separation project, as well as a permanent looped connection to that neighborhood into the future. Residents in the areas of 107th Avenue between Hummingbird and Killdeer Streets and 108th Lane west of Hanson Boulevard will be notified in advance of any temporary water shutoffs during the work.
