Property owners within this year’s street reconstruction project areas should have received notification letters between the weeks of May 7 and 14 with project and schedule information. If you would like a copy, please email Engineering@coonrapidsmn.gov or call 763-767-6479.

Street Reconstruction Project 18-1 – 4.7 miles of residential streets on the east and west sides of Foley Boulevard, from near Highway 10 to south of Northdale Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is North Valley, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Herb Thielbar at 612-716-4214 and Jeff Wunderlich at 612-282-5039. Jason Huebscher is the City’s full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Jason can be reached at 612-709-2704 (cell).

During the week of July 2, the Contractor plans to pave streets in Area 2 (104th Lane, 105th Avenue, 105th Lane, 106th Avenue, and Goldenrod Street east of Foley Boulevard) on Tuesday (7/3) and Thursday (7/5). No work will take place on Wednesday, July 4.

Remaining concrete driveway and curb work is expected in Area 3 (streets west of Foley Boulevard). Concrete removals are expected to begin in Area 4 (streets north of Egret Boulevard) next week. 

Street Reconstruction Project 18-2 – 4 miles of residential streets south of Coon Rapids Boulevard near Round Lake Boulevard and streets between Northdale Boulevard and Crooked Lake Boulevard   

The Contractor for this project is Northwest Asphalt, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are John Lenarz at 952-220-0684 and John Hamers at 952-292-8470. Zach Pfieffer is the City’s full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Zach can be reached at 612-710-8243 (cell).

During the week of July 2, irrigation repairs and topsoil placement, as well as remaining concrete driveway and tri-section work, is planned for Area 2 (118th Lane, 119th Avenue, 119th Lane, 120th Avenue, 121st Avenue, Eidelweiss Street, and Jonquil Street). No work will take place on Wednesday, July 4.

Placement of the final lift of asphalt wear course is planned for Silverod Street, Marigold Street, and 129th Avenue on Tuesday, July 3. 

Egret Boulevard Watermain Reconstruction Project 18-7 – Watermain replacement along Egret Boulevard from Coon Rapids Boulevard Service Road to 99th Avenue   

The Contractor for this project is Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contacts are Rene Perkins at 612-363-6459 and John Acman at 320-224-0048. Ron Sample is the City’s full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Ron can be reached at 763-257-3874 (cell).

During the week of July 2, the Contractor plans to install temporary water service connections to properties affected by the watermain system replacement along Egret Boulevard on Monday and Tuesday.

Installation of a new watermain valve at the intersection of 99th Avenue and Egret Boulevard is planned, and requires a temporary water shut off to area residents and the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. Affected properties will be notified in advance of the shut off. Work on the new watermain pipe is anticipated to begin on July 5 and 6. No work will take place on Wednesday, July 4. 

Anoka County Project – Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Railroad Bridge Overpass  

Hanson Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids (north of Coon Rapids Boulevard). The County’s Contractor for this project is C.S McCrossan. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-862-4250.
