Snowplowing Update

Snowplowing Update 4-2-18 & 4-3-18
Coon Rapids is expected to receive 4-6" of snow over the next several hours and in to tomorrow. That means our snowplow crews will be out plowing main city streets and neighborhood streets beginning in the overnight hours of Tuesday, April 3. Sidewalks near school zones will be plowed as well.

If your car is parked on the street, please remove it as that will greatly help our snowplow crews. Technically winter parking restrictions were lifted as of April 1, but thanks to another blast of winter, we ask that you help us by removing your cars from the street so the plow can easily go by and clean from curb-to-curb.

A reminder: Winter parking restrictions are in effect from November 1 to April 1, which means vehicles cannot be parked on the street anytime between 2 am and 6 am…or when there is an accumulation of three inches of snow. Parking can resume once the street has been plowed from curb to curb.

Let’s hope this is REALLY the last blast of winter! Have a great day!
