Anoka County Project – Foley Boulevard Reconstruction (Egret to Northdale)

Foley Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids. The County’s Contractor for this project is Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-862-4250.

Dakotah Street Reconstruction adjacent to Mercy Hospital

Dakotah Street from Coon Rapids Boulevard to approximately 600-feet south is being reconstructed in conjunction with the Mercy Hospital expansion. The Contractor is Bolander Construction.

At this time, the road is fully open to traffic and completion of the last lift of asphalt pavement will occur on Saturday, August 19^th. Restoration activities continued this week with the placement of topsoil and minor grading adjacent to the new roadway and sidewalk. Turf/seeding will likely occur the week of August 21^st.

Street Reconstruction Project 17-1 – Neighborhood Streets between Dogwood Street and University Avenue south of Egret Boulevard and north of 101^st Avenue

For the week of August 21, curb installation is scheduled on 103^rd Ave, 101^st Lane, and Cottonwood and Butternut Streets from 101^st to 102^nd Avenues. Concrete driveway aprons will also be installed on these streets at the same time. Paving is planned for Monday on Dogwood St. from 101^st Ave to 102^nd Ln and 103^rd Ave to Egret as well.

Street Reconstruction Project 17-2 – 101st Avenue, 121st Avenue, and Shenandoah Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction Company. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Nate at 612-360-9295. During the week of August 21, watermain and storm sewer installation will wrap up early in the week on 101^st Avenue. The Contractor will then begin prepping the westbound lanes for curb installation. Concrete work will also be completed on Shenandoah Blvd during the week.

Street Reconstruction Project 17-3 – Local Streets within Burl Oaks Neighborhoods

The Contractor for this project is North Valley. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Rodney Riemann at 612-328-7536. During the week of August 21, the Contractor will be prepping the roadways in the phase 2 area (Ilex St, 123rd Ave., and 120^th Ln – adjacent to Foley Blvd, and the Juniper St. cul-de-sac) for paving, with paving to be completed the week of August 28^th. The phase 3 area (Cottonwood, Dogwood, Flintwood, Ilex, Holly, and Juniper – adjacent to 121st Ave.) is scheduled for driveway and curb removals.

Street Reconstruction Project 17-4 – Various Local Streets throughout Coon Rapids

For the week of August 21, Turf establishment (hydroseeding) will be conducted on 93^rd Ave and Ln. Curb installation is scheduled on 127^th Ln and Juniper St.

Please note: Due to adverse weather this week, the Contractor will be paving 93^rd Ave and Ln. on Saturday, August 19.

Trail Construction Project 17-10 – Coon Rapids Boulevard Extension

For the week of August 21, the Contractor will be performing curb repairs, installing pedestrian ramps, placing topsoil and performing minor grading adjacent to the trail in anticipation of turf establishment. Fencing work may also take place this week, depending on the weather and completion of turf restoration activities.

Trail Construction Project 17-11 – Coon Rapids Boulevard / Egret Boulevard Trail
