Anoka County Project – Foley Boulevard Reconstruction (Egret to Northdale)

Foley Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids. The County’s Contractor for this project is Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-862-4250.

This segment of Foley Boulevard is closed to thru traffic until early July (weather pending). The road will remain open for local traffic, emergency vehicles and for accessibility to area businesses. 

Wilderness – Bunker Hills Trail Extension (Project 17-9)

The Contractor for this project is Barber Construction. Work on the new trail segment from Avocet Street to south of the Dog Park is currently underway. The project is scheduled to be complete by June 23, 2017. 

Crescent Ponds 9th Addition (Project 17-18) – Southwest corner of Main Street and University Avenue

The Contractor for this project is LaTour Construction. Work on public infrastructure (watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and street) for this new 19-lot, single-family development is currently underway.

For the week of June 12, the Contractor plans to install new concrete curb & gutter Monday or Tuesday, and continue placement/grading of class 5 gravel base. The infrastructure project (not including new home construction) is scheduled to be complete by June 30, 2017. 

Dakotah Street Reconstruction adjacent to Mercy Hospital

Over the next few months, Dakotah Street from Coon Rapids Boulevard to approximately 600-feet south will be reconstructed in conjunction with the Mercy Hospital expansion. The Contractor for this work is Bolander Construction.

Work during the week of June 12 includes curb & gutter installation on the west side of Dakotah Street, and tentative plans to pave the west side as well. 

Street Reconstruction Project 17-1 – Neighborhood Streets between Dogwood Street and University Avenue south of Egret Boulevard and north of 101st Avenue

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction Company. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Tom Breyfogle at 612-360-9295. Curb and gutter installation is expected the week of June 12 on Dogwood Street and 105th Avenue. This curb work has been rescheduled from the week of June 5. Work on the water services along 104th Avenue will also take place next week. 

Street Reconstruction Project 17-2 – 101st Avenue, 121st Avenue, and Shenandoah Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction Company. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Tom Breyfogle at 612-360-9295. Work performed the week of June 12 will include curb installations on the south side of 121st Avenue, as well as ancillary valve and hydrant replacements in the same area.

Street Reconstruction Project 17-3 – Local Streets within Burl Oaks Neighborhoods 

The Contractor for this project is North Valley. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Rodney Riemann at 612-328-7536. During the week of June 12, it’s anticipated that pavement reclamation and hydro-seeding will occur in the following areas: Norway Street, Magnolia Street, Larch Circle, Holly Street north of 123rd Avenue, and Goldenrod Circle. 

Street Reconstruction Project 17-4 – Various Local Streets throughout Coon Rapids 

The Contractor for this project is North Valley. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Rodney Riemann at 612-328-7536. Zach Pfieffer is the City’s full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Zach can be reached at 612-710-8243 (cell).

Storm drain replacements are anticipated the week of June 12 on Killdeer Street, Ibis Street, and Grouse Street. Ancillary hydrant and valve replacements are scheduled on 121st Lane (west of Shenandoah Blvd).

Grading in advance of paving will continue on 121st Lane (west of Crooked Lake Blvd), as well as on Riverdale Drive. Riverdale Drive and 121st Lane (west of Crooked Lake Boulevard) are scheduled to be paved by the end of next week.
