Anoka County Project – Foley Boulevard Reconstruction (Egret to Northdale)

Foley Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids. The County’s Contractor for this project is Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-862-4250.

This segment of Foley Boulevard is closed to thru traffic until early July (weather pending). The road will remain open for local traffic, emergency vehicles and for accessibility to area businesses. 

Wilderness – Bunker Hills Trail Extension (Project 17-9)

The Contractor for this project is Barber Construction. Work on the new trail segment from Avocet Street to south of the Dog Park is currently underway. The project is scheduled to be complete by June 23, 2017. 

Crescent Ponds 9th Addition (Project 17-18) – Southwest corner of Main Street and University Avenue

The Contractor for this project is LaTour Construction. Work on public infrastructure (watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and street) for this new 19-lot, single-family development is currently underway. New utility infrastructure will be complete by the week of June 5, and work on grading and base construction for the new street (Alder Street) will begin the same week. The infrastructure project (not including new home construction) is scheduled to be complete by June 30, 2017. 

Dakotah Street Reconstruction adjacent to Mercy Hospital

Over the next few months, Dakotah Street from Coon Rapids Boulevard to approximately 600-feet south will be reconstructed in conjunction with the Mercy Hospital expansion. The Contractor for this work is Bolander Construction. Work during the week of June 5 includes curb & gutter in certain areas, as well as placement of gravel base. 

Street Reconstruction Project 17-1 – Neighborhood Streets between Dogwood Street and University Avenue south of Egret Boulevard and north of 101st Avenue

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction Company. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Tom Breyfogle at 612-360-9295. During the week of June 5, curb and gutter installation is expected on Dogwood Street and 105th Avenue. Work on the temporary watermain system along 104th Avenue and 104th Lane is anticipated to be complete by mid next week. The Contractor then plans to begin work on the permanent watermain systems starting on 104th Avenue. Storm sewer structure replacements are also scheduled to take place on Alder Street.  

Street Reconstruction Project 17-2 – 101st Avenue, 121st Avenue, and Shenandoah Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction Company. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Tom Breyfogle at 612-360-9295. During the week of June 5, work will include storm sewer reconstruction and ancillary valve and hydrant replacements on 121st Avenue.

Street Reconstruction Project 17-3 – Local Streets within Burl Oaks Neighborhoods 

The Contractor for this project is North Valley. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Rodney Riemann at 612-328-7536. Removal operations on this project began the week of May 30. It’s anticipated that machine placed curb and gutter installations will occur as required in the following areas: Norway Street, Magnolia Street, Larch Circle, Holly Street north of 123rd Avenue, and Goldenrod Circle. Please note that not all of these streets will receive machine placed curb, and that any remaining curb replacements in the area will be performed by hand placed methods. 

Street Reconstruction Project 17-4 – Various Local Streets throughout Coon Rapids 

The Contractor for this project is North Valley. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Rodney Riemann at 612-328-7536. During the week of June 5, the removal of excess gravel on 133rd Avenue, Eidelweiss Street, Flora Street, Gladiola Street, and 132nd Avenue is expected to take place. With the City’s approval, the Contractor plans to work in this area Saturday, June 3, and paving is planned to occur mid next week. The Contractor may reclaim 121st Lane and Riverdale Drive next week as well.
