Bunker Hills Golf Club Opens Driving Range Today

January heat wave means golfers can practice their swing at Bunker Hills Golf Club
Driving range opened at 8 a.m. Thursday, January 19 - the earliest the course has ever opened!
 
Spring fever has hit Bunker Hills Golf Club early this year thanks to warm January temperatures! Golfers are invited to practice their swing on the driving range, which opened today, Thursday, January 19 at 8 a.m. – the earliest the course has ever opened in a year! Snow has been cleared from the tee area, making it the perfect place for golfers to spend this warm week! The driving range will be open for as many days as it can be this week, weather permitting.
 
No reservations are needed for the driving range. Up to 18 golfers can practice at one time.
 
Bunker Hills Golf Club also offers winter golfing opportunities through lessons with GolfTEC or with four state-of-the-art indoor simulators. Reservations are required for simulator golf rounds.

Outdoor Rinks Closing

Warm Weather Forces Closure of Outdoor Ice Rinks

Due to the warm temperatures and deteriorating ice conditions, warming houses and rinks at Riverview, Thorpe, and Wintercrest parks are closed until further notice.

There is periodic Community Hockey scheduled on the outdoor refrigerated ice rink at the Coon Rapids Ice Center.  Please check the schedule at http://www.coonrapidsmn.gov/183/Ice-Center for dates and times.

If ice conditions can improve and rinks can re-open, they could be open until mid-February, weather permitting.

Normal hours of operation would be:
Monday - Friday 5-8:30 p.m.
Weekends and school out days: 1-8:30 p.m.
