Street Reconstruction Update

85th Avenue Trail Construction (Project 14-27)

The City has requested ancillary widening of the new trail as it approaches the railroad tracks to reduce the sharp trail curvature, and to create additional buffer space where the trail is located behind the curb & gutter. This work is anticipated to occur this fall.

Next week, the Contractor plans to complete roadway grading in advance of paving from 90th Avenue to just north of 85th Avenue. Asphalt paving is planned to occur in this area next week as well. However, a portion of Evergreen Boulevard just north of 85th Avenue will not be paved due to the oversaturated roadway base – additional time is required for this area to dry out. As soon as this occurs, curb & gutter will be installed, and the area will be paved.

Ancillary concrete and sidewalk work throughout remaining portions of Evergreen Boulevard is scheduled toward the end of next week.
