2016 Park Redevelopment Projects (Project 15-20)

Woodcrest – All concrete work and trail paving is now complete. The remainder of the AgLime will be installed on the ball field next week, with fencing and benches to follow. Picnic shelter erection continues and should be completed next week, with picnic table installation to follow. Seeding for the native planting areas occurred this week, along with tree planting. Minor turf restoration remains, and it is anticipated that the restroom structure will be installed in September.

Mason – All concrete work and trail paving is now complete. Minor grading activities and turf restoration are anticipated to occur next week. Picnic shelter erection continues and should be completed next week, with picnic table installation to follow. Seeding for the native planting areas occurred this week, and turf restoration in various areas should occur next week. The playground structure has been scheduled for installation at the beginning of August.

Delta – Site removals are complete on the project, and grading for the new facilities is substantially complete. Concrete curb installation is complete around the basketball court and playground area, with flatwork (sidewalk) areas to be installed next week. Trail base and paving will occur over the next two weeks.

Pheasant Ridge – All concrete work on the project is now complete. Seeding for the native planting areas occurred this week, and turf restoration in various areas will occur over the next two weeks. Work on the handicap parking area along Pheasant Ridge Drive is also complete. Picnic shelter erection continues and should be completed next week, with picnic table installation to follow. The playground structure will be installed in early August.

85th Avenue Trail Construction (Project 14-27)

The Contractor is wrapping up the process of performing final topsoil placement and finish grading. The trail should be open for use either June 24 or early the week of June 27.

Northdale Boulevard/Redwood Street Signalization (Project 15-15)

The Contractor for this project is Valley Paving, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Dan Lorentz at 612-282-2070. This week, concrete curb and gutter placement was completed on the north side of Northdale boulevard and at the park entrance. The new traffic signal poles and arms were installed, and wiring was partially completed. Paving is planned to begin today (June 24). Sidewalk and roadway grading will continue into next week, as well as concrete sidewalk and driveway apron installation. Final wear course paving should be complete toward the end of next week.

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-1 – Evergreen Boulevard Area)

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction Company. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Scott Jandrey at 701-389-7390. Permanent watermain work on the north end of Evergreen Boulevard is now complete. The Contractor is currently working on completing concrete, driveway, and curb & gutter installations on the north end of Evergreen Boulevard and 93rd Avenue. Work will continue the week of June 27 to prepare these areas for asphalt paving, which is anticipated by the week of July 4. The Contractor will be working in this area on Saturday, June 25.

Work on the permanent watermain along 90th Avenue is anticipated to begin the week of June 27. A detour will be required for thru traffic on 90th Avenue in order to accommodate the work. Access will be provided to businesses along 90th Avenue during the detour. An email will be sent to area businesses notifying of the detour, anticipated schedule, and detour route.

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-2 – Mississippi Boulevard Area)

The Contractor for this project is Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Tim Matteson at 651-248-4708. Ron Sample is the City's full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Ron can be reached at 763-257-3874.

Work on the permanent watermain connection at Anoka Ramsey Community College is complete. The Contractor has been directed to restore the driveway to the Voyager Condominiums the week of June 27. Curb and gutter installations are planned to be complete for Mississippi Boulevard from Uplander Street to Xavis Street next week. Driveways in this area will be restored at the same time. Weather pending, the Contractor plans to place the first lift of asphalt pavement by the end of next week. At this time, all damaged irrigation services have been repaired by the City's Contractor. If residents in this area still have issues with their irrigation systems, they should contact the City Inspector - Ron Sample. 

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-3 – Mississippi Drive Area; Segments of Crooked Lake Boulevard/128th Avenue)

The Contractor for this project is C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Wayne Fluharty at 612-919-3018. The Contractor will reclaim Crooked Lake Boulevard and 128th Avenue on June 27. Clearing and grubbing of trees along 128th Avenue and Mississippi Drive is scheduled for June 28. Trees marked for removal in these areas have a pink "X" on them. Curb and gutter removals on Crooked Lake Boulevard are scheduled for June 29.

Utility work (valve and hydrant replacement) will be ongoing along Crooked Lake Boulevard and 128th Avenue during the week of June 27. This utility work requires daytime water shut offs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents will be notified in advance of any water shut offs. Notifications are made via door hangers placed by the Contractor 24 hours in advance of the shut off. Door hangers are placed on the front door to the home – residents are encouraged to continually check their front doors for these notifications. 

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-4 – Segments of Xeon Street, 113th Avenue/Dogwood Street/115th Avenue, and Egret Boulevard)

The Contractor for this project is North Valley, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Stewart Packer at 763-286-7341. Jason Huebscher is the City's full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Jason can be reached at 612-709-2704.

Installation of the permanent watermain system is now complete along Xeon Street. The Contractor has been sub-cutting Xeon Street from 114th Avenue toward Northdale Boulevard this week, and plans to continue the week of June 27. The sub-cutting work involves the placement of fabric, drain tile, sand, and class 5 gravel. Xeon Street will remain closed in certain segments in order to accommodate this work, and detours will remain in effect next week. Email updates will continue to be provided to area businesses informing them of the progression of the work and appropriate detour routes. The Contractor is planning for curb and gutter installations along Xeon Street by the end of next week.

Storm sewer work is planned to continue along Northdale Middle School the week of June 27.
