2023 Street Reconstruction Project 23-1
4.5 miles of residential street reconstruction between 126th Avenue north to and including 131st Avenue between Coon Creek Boulevard and Shenandoah Boulevard
The Contractor for this project is Bituminous Roadways Inc. The Contractor’s 24-hour emergency contact is Brandon Bistodeau at 651-358-5082. Property owners can also contact 911 in the event of any emergency. The City’s full-time project inspector is Jason Huebscher, who can be contacted to respond to specific questions or concerns and can be reached at 763-767-6570 (office) or 612-709-2704 (cell).
Work planned for the week of August 14 includes the continuation of sod installations within the Phase 1 and 2 areas (click here to view the project phasing map). Asphalt pavement reclamation will be completed for the Phase 3 area early next week. Removal of excess reclaimed gravel material and the patching of asphalt driveways will also take place in the Phase 3 area. Paving of the first lift of asphalt pavement for Phase 3 is tentatively scheduled for late in the week of August 21.
Once the sod is installed, the Contractor will water and maintain it for 45 days starting from the date of installation. After 45 days, the Contractor is required to replace any dead sod. Property owners will be fully responsible for future maintenance of the new boulevard sod after the 45-day maintenance period. To keep your new lawn looking its best, water often, avoid mowing until the new grass is at least three inches long, and cut no more than 1/3 of the grass height.
