2016 Park Redevelopment Projects (Project 15-20)

Woodcrest – All concrete work and trail paving is now complete. Trail backfilling is currently taking place and turf restoration, minor grading, and placement of agg. lime material in the ballfield to follow. The picnic shelter will be installed in approximately 1 week. Prep work for the native planting areas continues, with seeding to occur within 2 weeks. Testing of the restroom utilities and final pad work will occur next week.  It is anticipated that the structure will be installed in late summer/early fall.

Mason – All concrete work and trail paving is now complete on the project. Trail backfilling is currently taking place, with turf restoration and minor grading work to follow. The picnic shelter will be installed in approximately 2 weeks. Prep work for the native planting areas continues, with seeding to occur within 2 weeks. The playground structure will be installed upon completion of all site improvements.

Delta – Site removals and layout of new facilities continues. Site tilling and grading activities have commenced and will continue next week. Concrete installation will occur around the playground structure and basketball courts in the next 1 - 2 weeks.

Pheasant Ridge – A majority of the concrete work is complete, with the remainder to be completed next week. Prep work for the native planting areas continues, with seeding to occur within 2 weeks. Work on the handicap parking area along Pheasant Ridge Drive should also begin next week and last approximately 2 weeks. The picnic shelter and playground structure will be installed upon completion of a majority of the site improvements.

85th Avenue Trail Construction (Project 14-27)

Paving of the trail was completed on June 2. Ancillary concrete and pedestrian curb ramp construction is now scheduled for the week of June 6. The Contractor will also be performing final grading, turf establishment, and fence installation during the next couple of weeks.

Northdale Boulevard/Redwood Street Signalization (Project 15-15)

The Contractor for this project is Valley Paving, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Dan Lorentz at 612-282-2070. Work completed the week of May 31 includes traffic signal hardware installation, concrete work, and the placement of aggregate base. Work planned for the week of June 6 includes paving, traffic switch from north to south side of Northdale Boulevard (planned for Tuesday - June 7), and the reclamation of asphalt surface on the north side of Northdale Boulevard after the traffic switch. 

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-1 – Evergreen Boulevard Area)

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction Company. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Scott Jandrey at 701-389-7390. The Contractor expects to perform work on Saturdays beginning on June 11. Work during the week of June 6 will consist of completing the temporary watermain installation for the Phase 1 area of the project along Evergreen Boulevard. Temporary watermain installation is scheduled to begin mid next week along 90th Avenue. The Contractor will be reclaiming 90th Avenue on approximately June 10 in anticipation of planned watermain work. 

Short-term water shut offs will be required at certain times, and affected businesses will be notified in advance of any shut offs.

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-2 – Mississippi Boulevard Area)

The Contractor for this project is Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Tim Matteson at 651-248-4708. Ron Sample is the City's full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Ron can be reached at 763-257-3874.

Saturday work is planned to occur on June 11, and June 18. Work on Saturdays will occur between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Permanent watermain installation is complete along Mississippi Boulevard from Hanson Boulevard to Uplander Street. Work during the week of June 6 includes preparing Mississippi Boulevard from Hanson to Uplander for gravel base, and curb and gutter installation (planned for late next week). Permanent watermain installation is planned to begin from Uplander Street to Xavis Street the week of June 6. 

Work will only take place on Mississippi Boulevard between Hanson Boulevard and Xavis Street until July 5.

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-3 – Mississippi Drive Area; Segments of Crooked Lake Boulevard/128th Avenue)

The Contractor for this project is C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Wayne Fluharty at 612-919-3018. Work is planned to begin on this project along Crooked Lake Boulevard first, and is expected to begin on June 6.

Schedule and project information was recently sent to affected residents via US Mail.

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-4 – Segments of Xeon Street, 113th Avenue/Dogwood Street/115th Avenue, and Egret Boulevard)

The Contractor for this project is North Valley, Inc. The Contractor's 24-hour emergency contact is Stewart Packer at 763-286-7341. Jason Huebscher is the City's full-time project inspector, and can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Jason can be reached at 612-709-2704.

Utility work is scheduled to occur along Xeon Street at 114th Lane on Saturday June 4, and Monday June 6 at Xeon Street and 115th Avenue.  Road closures will remain in effect in order to accomplish the utility work. 

Installation of the temporary watermain is complete. Construction of the permanent watermain system is planned to continue over the next couple of weeks. Road closures will remain in effect during this time. 

Removal work is planned to begin on 113th Avenue and 115th Avenue during the week of June 6. Work on Dogwood Street will not begin until the week of June 13. 

Work on Egret Boulevard is scheduled to take place from mid-July through the end of September.
