Northdale Boulevard/Redwood Street Signalization (Project 15-15)

Power poles were removed and traffic has been rerouted to the north side of Northdale Blvd. (Stage 1). The Contractor plans on reclaiming road today. The sidewalk north of Northdale Blvd./west of Unity Street was graded, and base has been placed. Next week will include work on the eastbound turn lane and installation of storm sewer where possible.

2016 Park Redevelopment Projects (Project 15-20)

Woodcrest – A majority of the concrete work on site is now complete, including the foundation for the picnic shelter. All trails have been graded in and based; paving will occur next week. Over the next two weeks the picnic shelter will be erected, and the concrete flatwork leading to it will be installed. Spraying for the installation of native plantings has occurred, and seeding will take place within two weeks as well. Utilities to the restroom shelter will be completed in the next week, but the structure itself will not be installed until late summer/early fall.

Mason – A majority of the concrete work on site is now complete, and the foundations for the picnic shelter will occur within the week. All trails have been graded and base installed; paving to occur next week. Over the next 2-3 weeks the picnic shelter will be erected, and the concrete flatwork leading to it will be installed. Spraying for the installation of native plantings has occurred, and seeding will take place within two weeks. The playground structure will be installed upon completion of all site improvements.

Delta – Site removals and layout of new facilities has begun. Site grading and prep work for concrete installation will begin over the next two weeks.

City Council awarded a contract to Park Construction Company on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. A pre-construction meeting is scheduled, and work is expected to begin mid-May. Residents and businesses affected will be sent specific schedule and project information via US Mail in the next week or two.

MSA Street Reconstruction (Project 16-3 – Mississippi Drive Area; Segments of Crooked Lake Boulevard/128^th Avenue)

Bids on this project were accepted May 6, 2016, and the City anticipates awarding a contract on May 17, 2016 to the low bidder, C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. Work is expected to begin late May/early June. Residents and businesses affected will be sent specific schedule and project information via US Mail once a contract is awarded.
