The Senior Center will be CLOSED on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 for the Holidays. 

The office will be open Dec. 27-30 but there will be no Senior Center activities except
Live 2B Healthy. Activities will resume as normal on January 3.

Transportation to the Senior Center


If you need a ride to and from the Senior Center, call us at (763) 767-6473. We have volunteer drivers who will transport you. The cost is $1 each way. We are also doing shopping trips for $3 round trip. See the calendar in our Newsletter below for dates and places. 

To schedule a ride, please call two days in advance. You must be able to get in/out of the van independently. The vehicles are not equipped for wheelchairs. Coon Rapids residents only.

Volunteers Needed!


The Coon Rapids Senior Center is looking for volunteer van drivers to take seniors to and from the Senior Center and for grocery trips. We are also looking for individuals to help out on grocery days to load and unload groceries from the bus. Please call the Senior Center at (763) 767-6473 to find out more.

One on One Technology Help

Crooked Lake Library, 11440 Crooked Lake Blvd


The Anoka County Library Crooked Lake Branch offers free, one-on-one technology help. Please call 763-324-1530 to set up a 45 minute appointment. Let them know what it is you are needing help with so they can match you up with the right person. Appointments take place at the library. 




Puzzles and Books! Our library has puzzles and books galore, come and take something to bring home with you!

Defensive Driving Classes

4 hour in-person refresher classes starting soon!

Take one of these every three years if you are 55+ and receive a 10% discount on car insurance if you have previously taken the 8 hour online course. The 8 hour course is online at minnesotasafetycouncil.org. 

4 Hour Course Dates at the Senior Center

Thursday, January 12, 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Monday, January 23, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, February 9, 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Monday, February 27, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

$24 due two weeks before class.
