2022 Street Reconstruction Project 22-1

4.2 miles of residential streets north of 119^th Avenue and east of Round Lake Boulevard, including streets south of 119^th Avenue south to 117^th Avenue between Kerry Street and Jonquil Street; and the 117^th Lane cul-de-sac east of Northdale Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC. The Contractor’s main contact is Ryan Kerr at 320-679-8937 (office) or 320-515-0046 (cell). The City’s full-time project inspector is Jason Huebscher, who can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Curb removals will continue to take place next week in the phase 3 area (Wedgewood Drive between Round Lake Boulevard and 119^th Avenue including all adjacent side streets). Underground work in phase 3 including miscellaneous valve, hydrant, and storm sewer replacements will be complete on Friday, July 22. Crews will begin to move excess gravel material left from the pavement reclamation process in phase 3 next week.

Remaining curbs in the phase 4 project area (streets north of 119^th Avenue and east of Round Lake Boulevard to 121^st Avenue including 120^th Avenue and Tulip Street) are scheduled to be completed next week.

Asphalt pavement reclamation for the phase 5 combined project area (streets south of 119^th Avenue between Kerry and Jonquil Street plus the Marigold and Kerry Street cul-de-sacs north of 119^th Avenue plus 117^th Lane east of Northdale Blvd) is now scheduled to take place Monday and Tuesday of next week. Miscellaneous valve, hydrant, and storm sewer replacements in phase 5 will begin at the end of next week.

3.6 miles of residential streets north of 119^th Avenue along Zea Street west of Round Lake Boulevard and south of Wedgewood Drive; Zea Street between 119^th Avenue and Blackfoot Street; streets south of 119^th Avenue and north of Coon Rapids Boulevard between Round Lake Boulevard and Silverod Street

Remaining asphalt wear course paving is planned to be completed on the phase 1 streets (streets west of Round Lake Boulevard along Zea Street) early next week.

City staff have received numerous requests to restore yards disturbed by Comcast relocation work – we are forwarding these requests to Comcast staff, who have assured the City they will restore any areas disturbed by their work with topsoil and seed. Comcast restoration crews have indicated all yard and irrigation repairs are planned to be completed for the overall phase 1 project area by Monday, July 25. Remaining temporary wires will be removed and above ground pedestals in need of covers/repairs will be addressed on the phase 1 streets by Comcast within the next two weeks as well.

In the phase 2 area (streets east of Round Lake Blvd and south of 119^th Avenue), work on irrigation repairs will continue. Topsoil and sod will be placed in boulevard areas of phase 2 streets as soon as irrigation repairs are completed.
