2022 Street Reconstruction Project 22-1

4.2 miles of residential streets north of 119^th Avenue and east of Round Lake Boulevard, including streets south of 119^th Avenue south to 117^th Avenue between Kerry Street and Jonquil Street; and the 117^th Lane cul-de-sac east of Northdale Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC. The Contractor’s main contact is Ryan Kerr at 320-679-8937 (office) or 320-515-0046 (cell). The City’s full-time project inspector is Jason Huebscher, who can be contacted any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Miscellaneous valve, hydrant, and storm sewer replacements will continue in the phase 3 area (Wedgewood Drive between Round Lake Boulevard and 119^th Avenue including all adjacent side streets) throughout the week of July 11. Comcast is scheduled to continue its remaining utility relocations from Orchid Street and Wedgewood Drive toward 119^th Avenue. Asphalt pavement reclamation will also take place in phase 3 Monday through Wednesday next week. Curb removals in the phase 3 area are planned to begin on Wednesday.

In the combined project phase 4 area (streets north of 119^th Avenue and east of Round Lake Boulevard to 121^st Avenue including 120^th Avenue and Tulip Street), installation of new curb within the watermain replacement areas is planned. Asphalt base paving is scheduled to take place on the north streets of the phase 4 area by the end of next week.

3.6 miles of residential streets north of 119^th Avenue along Zea Street west of Round Lake Boulevard and south of Wedgewood Drive; Zea Street between 119^th Avenue and Blackfoot Street; streets south of 119^th Avenue and north of Coon Rapids Boulevard between Round Lake Boulevard and Silverod Street

Irrigation repairs are nearly complete in the phase 1 area (streets west of Round Lake Boulevard along Zea Street). Work next week within phase 1 includes continued topsoil and sod placement. City staff are receiving numerous requests to restore yards disturbed by Comcast relocation work – we are forwarding these requests to Comcast staff, who have assured the City they will restore any areas disturbed by their work with topsoil and seed.

Work next week in the phase 2 area (streets east of Round Lake Blvd and south of 119^th Avenue) includes irrigation repairs. In addition, the Contractor will work on final gravel grading within the Silverod Street cul-de-sac south of 119^th Avenue. This work is in advance of asphalt base paving scheduled to take place at the end of next week.
