The Coon Rapids Farmers Market is a great place to find fresh produce and artisan goods all summer long! The Farmers Market runs through October 12. Find vegetables, fruit, jams, breads, honey, and more!

Anoka County's Crooked Lake Library


The Crooked Lake Library offers free one-on-one technology help. Call (763) 324-1530 to set up a 45 minute appointment. Let them know what it is you're needing help with so they can match you up with the right person. Appointments take place at Crooked Lake Library, 11440 Crooked Lake Blvd.

Transportation to the Senior Center

If you need a ride to and from the Senior Center, call us at (763) 767-6473. We have volunteer drivers who will transport you. The cost is $1 each way. We are also doing shopping trips for $3 round trip. Call for information. 

To schedule a ride, please call two days in advance. You must be able to get in and out of the van independently. The vehicle is not equipped for wheelchairs. Coon Rapids residents only.

Defensive Driving Classes

4 hour in-person refresher classes starting soon!

Take one of these every three years if you are 55+ and receive a 10% discount on car insurance if you have previously taken the 8 hour online course. The 8 hour course is online at minnesotasafetycouncil.org. 

4 Hour Course Dates at the Senior Center

August 8, 4:30-8:30 p.m. 
August 25, 12:30-4:30 p.m.
September 12, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
September 29, 12:30-4:30 p.m.


$24 due two weeks before class.

Art in the Park

Join us for week-long summer art camps for 55+! These five-day sessions are co-sponsored by the Rumriver Art Center and the Coon Rapids Senior Center. All classes take place at Lions Coon Creek Park (Shelter #2).

Supplies are provided. Scholarships available. Call RRAC at 763-323-8830 to register and pay.
