William Henry Johnson

William Henry Johnson was an American painter. Born in South Carolina, he later moved to France, where he was exposed to modernism. After he married a Danish textile artist, the couple lived in Scandinavia where he was influenced by the strong folk art tradition. They moved to the US and he worked as a teacher at the Harlem Community Art Center. Class is free and no registration is necessary. Presented by Angie at RumRiver Art Center. VFW DINNER A HUGE SUCCESS!

For almost 50 years, the VFW Auxiliary 9625, the Super Senior Club and the Coon Rapids Senior Center have teamed up together to host a holiday dinner. Due to COVID, this year was like last year. Instead of a sit-down dinner and entertainment, this year's event was "drive-thru" style. It included a delicious turkey dinner and some other goodies. Special thanks to the VFW, the Coon Rapids Rotary volunteers and everyone who made it possible!
