While in-person activities at the Coon Rapids Senior Center remain canceled until further notice, don't miss several online opportunities to get involved.

It is our top priority to keep seniors healthy and safe! Which is why all day trips, speakers, classes, game groups, craft/art groups, parties and special events are canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cancellations also include all income tax services and property tax assistance.

ZOOM? WHAT’S THAT?

All of these online activities offered by Coon Rapids Senior Services are held using Zoom. This is a fun way to teleconference with numerous people, right on your home computer. It includes audio and video, with your screen looking something like the Brady Bunch. It’s fun!

AARP Income Tax Assistance

AARP foundation has cancelled Free Income Tax Assistance nationwide. It is not known at this time whether they will offer additional locations with the extended federal filing deadline or if they will remain closed for the 2020 year.

Property Tax Refunds/Rent Credits

Due to COVID-19, all RSVP Property Tax Refund Assistance services have been suspended. They are monitoring the situation closely and working on an alternative plan to offer assistance.

CREATIVE WRITERS GROUP

The Senior Center’s Creative Writers group is holding Zoom meetings on Mondays at 1:00 p.m. (the regular time).
