IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES

CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE


It is our top priority to keep seniors healthy and safe! Due to COVID-19, all in-person activities are canceled at the Coon Rapids Senior Center until further notice. This includes all day trips, speakers, classes, game groups, craft/art groups, parties and special events.

Cancellations also include all income tax services, all property tax assistance and all foot care appointments.

Property Tax Refunds/Rent Credits


Due to COVID-19, all RSVP Property Tax Refund Assistance services have been suspended.  They are monitoring the situation closely and working on an alternative plan to offer assistance.

Want to make someone’s day special? Due to COVID-19, Camilia Rose Care Center is under stringent quarantine restrictions. No visitors are allowed and, according to Administrator David McCray, residents are feeling a little lonely.

The Senior Center is now holding ZOOM meetings for classes and other events. This is a fun way to teleconference with numerous people, right on your home computer. It includes audio and video, with your screen looking something like the Brady Bunch. It’s fun!

We’ll announce meeting times in future emails and on Facebook. It is easy to join a Zoom meeting. Need some basic instructions? Click here.

The MN COVID Mask Sewists are a group of 150 volunteers who are making masks for people. Fill out the online form and a volunteer will be in touch with you.

HELP AT YOUR DOOR


This non-profit organization provides grocery assistance and essential medical transportation to seniors.

The cost for delivery is $14, though there is a sliding fee for income-eligible individuals over 60.
