The Ice Rinks are Ready for the 2019-2020 Season!

Coon Rapids offers many skating options within its park system. There are currently 5 regulation outdoor hockey rinks and 4 open skating rinks available. Rinks are maintained daily with a routine schedule of ice shaving, sweeping, snow removal, and flooding as weather conditions permit.

Sand Creek Park (As mentioned above, this rink is not open as of 12-20-19. Estimated time of opening will be in the coming weeks, weather permitting)

Wintercrest Park

Warming House Hours:

December 20 thru mid-February (weather permitting)
Monday-Friday: 5-8:30 p.m.
Saturday and school-out days: 1-8:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1-6 p.m.

Warming houses and ice rinks are closed if cold temperatures become extreme. Closure occurs when temperatures reach -10 or -25 wind chill.
Warming houses are closed on holidays.
While warming houses are open specific hours, outdoor rinks are open during normal park hours, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
