Riverdale Station Next Phase

RiverdaleStation_Phase2

Plans are underway for the final two buildings in the Riverdale Station housing development next to the Riverdale Transit Station on Northdale Boulevard. The first two buildings of this community, Nova and Lyra, opened in late 2019 and early 2020. Developed by Minneapolis-based Sherman Associates, these buildings include 71 and 180 apartments respectively.

On the vacant land immediately to the north of these two buildings, Sherman is planning two additional buildings—a 188-unit market-rate apartment building and an 84-unit affordable senior apartment building. The new buildings will include similar amenities to the adjacent Nova and Lyra buildings, such as granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-home laundry, outdoor gathering spaces, fitness center, dog run, and heated underground parking.

The City’s Planning Commission will consider a site plan for the project on June 17. It is expected that construction on the 188-unit building could begin by late 2021 and construction on the 84-unit senior building could begin sometime in 2022.

More information is available by viewing the slides and video from a virtual open house held in May.

If you have questions about the project, please email the Economic Development Department.
