Anoka County Library and Transformative Circle are hosting a presentation from Mapping Prejudice on the history of racial covenants and their impact followed by a deed transcription tutorial. Racial covenants are clauses that were inserted into property deeds to prevent non-white people from buying or occupying land.

Learn how to find racial covenants in Anoka County property records. To participate in the transcription session, please bring a personal electronic device that can connect to Wi-Fi.
