Electronics Recycling
Large electronics recycling takes place the 1st Saturday of each month, see the recycling calendar for dates and events.
Items accepted include: computers, monitors, TV's, printers, copiers, etc. Fee list
* Please note - Microwaves are an appliance (not electronics) by state law.
Information regarding recycling CRT's (Cathode Ray Tubes)
It is illegal in Minnesota to place computer monitors and televisions in the trash.
A person may not place in mixed municipal solid waste an electronic product containing a Cathode Ray Tube (MN State Statute 115A.9565). A Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) is the display device used in most computer monitors and televisions.
Televisions and computer monitors have been found to contain lead and other heavy metals. Waste Management supports environmentally responsible disposal of CRT's.
All haulers will pick up appliances and electronics for a fee.
Please note all haulers will not pick up CRT's placed at the curb with their refuse container. A tag will be placed on the item indicating recycling options. If the CRT cannot be safely moved your hauler will tag the waste container and leave it undumped. The refuse hauler will return once the CRT is removed from the container.
If you are unable to make it to the recycle center, several companies pick up appliances once a week. See links at right to call for prices and times.
