Coon Rapids City Attorney Office
The City Attorney’s Office consists of three staff attorneys and three support staff. The office represents the City and advises and represents its elected officials in all legal matters, and provides a wide range of legal services to City officials and departments. In addition, the City Attorney’s Office prosecutes gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor and petty misdemeanor crimes. The City Attorney’s Office may provide to a limited extent information to the general public regarding City ordinances and resolutions. The City Attorney’s office cannot provide legal advice or recommendations to private citizens for their personal legal matters.
The City Attorney’s Office endeavors to deliver high quality, cost effective legal services that are responsive to the City’s goals and objectives; to assist the City in managing its financial exposure to the claims brought against the City; and to effectively prosecute all petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor, and gross misdemeanor crimes that occur in the City.
All criminal court appearances are held at the Anoka County Courthouse, 325 East Main Street
