Sign Up Now for 4th of July Parade and Run Events!

Join in on family fun for all ages at the 4th of July Celebration on the grounds of Coon Rapids Ice Center, 11000 Crooked Lake Boulevard, July 2-4. Activities include a parade, carnival games, rides, live music, bingo, car show, craft show, food, drinks and fireworks. The event is sponsored by the North Star Lions Club, Coon Rapids Fire Social Group and the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation.

Parade Application Materials

Applications are now being accepted for the parade, which will be held on Monday, July 3 at 6 p.m. Line up begins at 4 p.m. Online registration is available and secure payment is available through the Coon Rapids North Star Lions Club website. Parade registration deadline: June 15. 

5K/10K/Kids Sparkler Dash Run - Sign Up Now!

Run or walk and bring your family and friends to the second annual Coon Rapids Firecracker 5K, which kicks off the community activities Sunday, July 2! New this year: 10K and Kids Sparkler Dash!

July 2 Schedule of Firecracker Run Events: 

7 a.m.              Packet pick-up and Day-Of Registration
8 a.m.              10K Run Start
8:15 a.m.         5K Run/Walk Start
9:45 a.m.         5K & 10K Awards Ceremony
10 a.m.            Kids Sparkler Dash


Early - Bird Race Pricing: 

(Price increase starting Monday, June 19)
5K Run/Walk: $25 ($30 starting Monday, June 19)
10K: $35 ($40 starting Monday, June 19)
Kids Sparkler Dash 500 (Ages 3-8): $1

Registration price for the 5K and 10K includes four free games of Bingo (coverall not included) at the Firefighter Bingo Tent, beer or pop ticket, finisher's medal, t-shirt and more! After race snack and beverage will be provided at the finish line. Additional prizes for top 10K Male and Female and top 5K Male and Female and Best Patriotic Costume.
