As required by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the City will be developing a formal goose management plan over the course of the next several months. Development of this plan will include guidelines for deciding on a sustainable population, and how the City will maintain an acceptable population within a given area. The City is accepting public comments about the plan at an upcoming public meeting.
This will be an open house style event where you can learn more about the draft plan, ask questions and provide feedback in written form.
The event will take place on:
Tuesday, January 24
Location: City Council Chambers, 11155 Robinson Drive.
The draft plan is available on the City's website and public comments will be taken from January 24 - February 24, 2016. You can find the email links and draft document on the City's website here.
A formal plan will be developed after the public comment period, which will then go before the City Council in spring 2017. If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Public Works at 763-767-6494.
