Bonding Bill Funds Several Projects in North Metro

Despite some objections, Governor Mark Dayton signed the $1.5 billion bonding bill into law on Wednesday.

The bill includes $25 million for public schools to improve safety, one thing that did receive bipartisan support at the State Capitol this session.  Other highlights include $6.75 million for roof and HVAC replacement at the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center, $379,000 for the design phase of an expansion to the nursing classrooms and labs at Anoka Ramsey Community College, $15 million for improvements at Highway 10 and Thurston Avenue in Anoka, and $1 million for asset preservation at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
