With the weather getting warmer you’re likely to see more people selling products and services at your door. Did you know these sales people must be licensed with the City? The licensing process includes a background investigation on each sales person and is designed to protect the safety and welfare of residents. All individuals traveling door-to-door selling products or soliciting for commercial business purposes, excluding newspaper and food delivery services, must be licensed by City Hall.
If the individual is licensed, they will be wearing a badge issued by the City which must be worn at all times. They must also carry an official City license. If a peddler or for-profit solicitor comes to your door and is not wearing a City-issued badge, please let us know by calling 763-767-6432. Soliciting hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
